Transform your living room practice session into an international performance opportunity
GMAC 2025
Recital Competition
Due Date: April 30, 2025

Summary and guidelines: An artist is determined not just through their technical and performative skills, but also through their ability to thoughtfully put together a program that communicates something beautiful or significant to the listener. In this competition, competitors have the opportunity to build a program of their own choosing and record their performance of it. They will also submit a brief, written program to support their repertoire selections.
Competitors will be judged on two overarching criteria: the program itself (thoughtfulness, creativity, and cohesive balance) and the preparation of said program (quality, technique, and preparation).
Requirements: Video submissions must be clear and performed in one take. Any videos with multiple takes will be disqualified. All video submissions must be accompanied by a typed, one-page program with the title, selections and composers listed, and a written paragraph about why the repertoire was chosen.
